PROJECTION

Psychological Projection is the phenomenon whereby one projects one’s own thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto others; assuming that others are just like them. This is one significant reason that many in the church who are good people with pure motivations and honest intents fail to recognize that others, sometimes even others in the church, are not good people with pure motivations and could, in fact, be evil. This is also one reason that many good people in America fail to recognize that other people in the world are not good people at all, but may have twisted motivations and even wish to hurt and destroy.

If you are a good hearted and kind Christian, Do not make the common mistake of projecting the goodness within yourself onto others. Rather, see others as they truly are and relate to and deal with them appropriately.
