Reducing Division
When you draw thick lines and take hard stands on things that are really your personal point of view, your preferred style, or a conviction of your own conscience, you create division between yourself and others.
Yes......Draw thick lines and take strong stands on the major truths of God's Word. It is not necessary that you compromise on important doctrine.
But......Concerning personal style, your preferences on things that are not major doctrine, or matters of personal conscience, don't be so hard core.
And......Be wise enough to know the difference — the difference between important truths that you should not compromise on and things that are a matter of conscience or of personal preference that others may have a different view on.
Thinking this way and Operating this way will help to maintain Unity and Reduce Division in the body of Christ.
